2022 - 2024

Redesigning SellerApp’s Design System 2.0 was all about tackling scalability and improving user engagement. The old system struggled with integrating new features and maintaining a cohesive look across devices. I started by diving into user research and collaborating with teams to pinpoint key issues. This led to crucial updates like a modular grid system, refined typography, and a unified color palette for better accessibility and consistency.

One of my biggest focuses was making it fully responsive. By re-engineering components and using fluid grids in Figma, I ensured the design adapted flawlessly across devices, delivering a seamless user experience. The result? A modernized design system that boosted engagement by 89% and set the stage for SellerApp’s growth and innovation.

Process

Understanding

Redesigning the SellerApp dashboard was like renovating a busy kitchen—you need to know what tools are essential and where everything should go. I started with user research with FullStory & Amplitude understanding users behaviour and discover the trend, understand sellers' needs, and spot what wasn’t working. This set the stage for creating a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

Foundations

Building on the research, I identified the app’s core components and sketched wireframes to outline its structure and functionality. Next, I introduced Figma Variables to lay a solid foundation for the design system, integrating base elements like the sidebar, buttons, note messages, and input fields.

To bridge the gap between design and development, I explored Tailwind and Angular Material—our tech stacks—ensuring seamless integration. From there, I created a high-fidelity components and the variants and conducted usability testing to fine-tune the design and enhance the user experience.

Final Touch

Throughout this journey, I worked closely with frontend developers, product managers and the Amazon sellers’ team from across the globe. The final design brought a fresh perspective to the platform’s core features and flows while also simplifying front-end code to support the development team’s transition to the new design system. Step by step, we crafted a solution that’s robust, intuitive, and built for efficiency! 🚀
